Business Development Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development & Strategy
- Develop and implement business strategies to drive sales growth for AVEVA Select in the East African market.
- Identify new business opportunities and lead the end-to-end sales process from prospecting to closing.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of new business and expand existing client relationships.

Client Relationship Management
- Cultivate and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers within target industries (e.g., oil & gas, manufacturing, utilities, infrastructure).
- Provide consultative support and guidance to clients, aligning AVEVA’s offerings with their business objectives.

Sales & Marketing Collaboration
- Cultivate and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers within target industries (e.g., oil & gas, manufacturing, utilities, infrastructure).
- Provide consultative support and guidance to clients, aligning AVEVA’s offerings with their business objectives.

Market Intelligence & Reporting

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Experience
- Minimum of 5 years experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in the industrial software or technology sectors.
- Proven track record of successfully selling complex software solutions to large-scale enterprises in East Africa.

Industry Knowledge
- Deep understanding of the key industries AVEVA serves, including energy, manufacturing, infrastructure, and utilities.
- Knowledge of the regional market and strong network within the East African business community.

Skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage multi-million-dollar contracts.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus).

Languages
- Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of other East African languages is a significant advantage.
