Business Development & Strategy

  • Develop and implement business strategies to drive sales growth for AVEVA Select in the East African market.
  • Identify new business opportunities and lead the end-to-end sales process from prospecting to closing.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of new business and expand existing client relationships.
Hierarchy

Client Relationship Management

  • Cultivate and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers within target industries (e.g., oil & gas, manufacturing, utilities, infrastructure).
  • Provide consultative support and guidance to clients, aligning AVEVA’s offerings with their business objectives.

Sales & Marketing Collaboration

  • Cultivate and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers within target industries (e.g., oil & gas, manufacturing, utilities, infrastructure).
  • Provide consultative support and guidance to clients, aligning AVEVA’s offerings with their business objectives.
Increase revenue retention with on-time, on-budget project delivery

Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Cultivate and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers within target industries (e.g., oil & gas, manufacturing, utilities, infrastructure).

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Cloud Solutions

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in the industrial software or technology sectors.
  • Proven track record of successfully selling complex software solutions to large-scale enterprises in East Africa.
Integrated Engineering & Design

Industry Knowledge

  • Deep understanding of the key industries AVEVA serves, including energy, manufacturing, infrastructure, and utilities.
  • Knowledge of the regional market and strong network within the East African business community.
Increased project quality

Skills

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage multi-million-dollar contracts.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Screens

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus).
Increased Capability

Languages

  • Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of other East African languages is a significant advantage.
