On 16 July, Upper Hill’s Radisson Blu was filled with East Africa’s industrial sector: engineers, plant managers and technology leaders from mining, water and wastewater, oil and gas, manufacturing and more sat shoulder to shoulder, comparing notes on problems most of them thought were theirs alone.
It was the first time Xplore had come to Nairobi, Kenya, and the region showed up ready to talk.
Over the course of the day, conversation moved past the usual “digital transformation” buzzwords and into the operational reality behind them: where visibility breaks down on the plant floor, where decisions still lag behind the data, and where the gap between “what’s possible” and “what’s actually running” is costing businesses time, resilience and margin.
